Describe your work in one sentence:
My art is a collection of thoughts that I am struggling to process and subsequently these thoughts end up on canvas, intertwined with whatever song lyrics are stuck on repeat in my brain at the time.
Why do you do it?
It calms me, it also provides a great amount of joy and satisfaction that other things don’t.
What keeps you going (what’s your GRIT)?
I have always had a drive to succeed in a creative field. It is relentless and always present. If I’m not doing something creative, or editing photographs, doodling, thinking about art/music/film/colours/visual stimuli I get bored very easily. It keeps me out of trouble!
What advice would you give to somebody wanting to become a ‘creative’?
Don’t over think it just do it. There is a wonderful spontaneity about creating art and that is a process to enjoy, and not care too much about making mistakes. It’s all subjective anyway!
Tell us something unusual about yourself.
I’m obsessed with Alan Partridge, Steve Coogan is a genius.
