Our philosophy is simple: to home creatives with GRIT.

GRIT Studios offers quality and affordable studios for artists, makers, and creatives. More than just a space to craft, we encourage open collaboration, problem solving and sharing opportunities to help the community realise their potential.

Our story.

Our story starts with GRIT Studios Stockport. We found a 4,800sq ft derelict building in the town centre. Unlike most, we didn’t see its long list of issues, but instead saw sunlight flooding in from windows on both sides, sturdy wooden floors and quirky staircases. Basically, we saw huge potential.

We grafted to restore the building and transform the space into awesome creative studios. From the day it opened in 2021, we’ve been completely full.

Through this redevelopment activity, we breathed life into an unloved building, transforming it into much needed creative facilities. It’s brought jobs to local communities and added colour to the neighbourhood.
